As all of our enrollment events will be held virtually, the best way to connect with other candidates in your subject area is to attend our virtual events. You will be able to connect with candidates in your subject area by engaging with them in the chat, entering breakout rooms, asking questions, and sharing contact information voluntarily. There will also be a Facebook group available for Enrolled Fellows.
Subject Area Nights will occur after you enroll and prior to Pre-Service Training. These are events specifically designed for Partner Teachers who are assigned to a specific content area. These events will invite you to network with other incoming PTs in your content area, speak with program staff to answer any outstanding questions you may have about onboarding, hiring and pre-service training, and give you the opportunity to hear from PTs from previous cohorts as they share their experience with the program.
You may register for Subject Area Nights through your Teacher Track events tab. While not required, these events are certainly encouraged for enrolled PTs.
In addition to these events, you will also have an opportunity to get to know other members of your subject area by joining your cohort Facebook group as well as in breakout sessions during Accepted Applicant Events and Subject Area Nights. These breakout sessions will occur virtually via Zoom and you will be provided with guidance on how to make the best use of your time with other members of your subject area and cohort.
