Mathematics & Science Immersion Programs
Due to hiring needs, we are able to offer Mathematics Immersion and Science Immersion programs to Partner Teachers who did not major in mathematics or science but who do have a strong academic background in these subject areas. The Mathematics Immersion and Science Immersion programs allow Partner Teachers to make up the deficient coursework required for New York State certification in their content area over the course of their graduate program.
To be eligible for our Mathematics Immersion program, candidates must have 12 credits of college-level Math at a grade of a C or higher in each undergraduate course or B- or higher in each graduate course. Below is a chart that can provide you with the credit requirement needed and support provided to Math Immersion candidates.
