You can sign up for a free membership on www.zoom.us to better prepare and practice for your virtual interview. This will allow you to practice with the annotation tools noted below and for you to understand what is best for your teaching sample.
Using Zoom Tools to Create an Interactive Experience for your Students

Sharing your Screen: During the virtual interview, you will share your screen when it is your turn to present your teaching sample. When you share your screen, everyone will be able to see what you’re viewing on your computer. You can utilize what you think is best for your lesson. You are welcome to create and use Powerpoint slides to teach your lesson. Please note that you CANNOT show a video. You must teach your content without video assistance.
- Using the Whiteboard Feature: The whiteboard allows you to interact with your interview room. You should only share your screen and access the whiteboard feature when it is your turn to do your teaching sample.
To access the whiteboard feature:

Click the Share Screen button located in your meeting toolbar.

Click Whiteboard.

Click Share.

Once you click Share, you will see annotation tools that you and your students can use during the lesson.
