In addition to all that the Bronx has to offer, NYC Teaching Collaborative is able to offer the Bronx Cohort to support Partner Teachers who are committed to teaching in the Bronx. Approximately 50% of partner teachers were trained and hired in the Bronx for the 2021-2022 school year. We have a limited number of places in the Bronx Cohort, so, if you are interested, you are encouraged to express interest in your Teacher Track Checklist when you receive your offer to enroll in the New York City Teaching Collaborative.
Your acceptance to the Bronx Cohort means that you commit to training in the Bronx and teaching in the Bronx for at least two years.
Your selection into the Bronx Cohort also includes special benefits within the NYCDOE, including:
- Bronx Hiring Fairs: You are guaranteed an invitation to attend hiring fairs to meet with Bronx principals. *Note: This invitation is contingent upon your standing in the New York City Teaching Collaborative program at the time of each event. Bronx Hiring Fairs will start as early as March, while the rest of the city will not engage in hiring until significantly later.

Reduced Tuition: Further subsidized university tuition representing a $1,500.00 savings over the course of two years.
To express interest in the Bronx Cohort, click on the "Join the Bronx Cohort" tasklist item on your NY Teacher Admissions portal to fill out the registration form. Note that this tasklist item will NOT appear until you receive an offer to join our program.
