The Bronx is divided into 6 geographic districts: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.

District 7: This is the southernmost district in the Bronx. A full list of schools in District 7 can be found here. Approximately 10% of Alternative Certification Candidates hired in the Bronx in the 2019-2020 school year were hired in District 7.
District 8: District 8 begins in Hunts Point and extends east to the Throgs Neck Bridge, making the commute from Queens a quick one. A full list of schools in District 8 can be found here. Approximately 21% of Alternative Certification Candidates hired in the Bronx in the 2019-2020 school year were hired in District 8.
District 9: District 9 begins around 160th street on the west side of the Bronx and heads north. A full list of schools in District 9 can be found here. Approximately 27% of Alternative Certification Candidates hired in the Bronx in the 2019-2020 school year were hired in District 9.
District 10: District 10 begins around 180th street and continues north to the northernmost tip of the Bronx that borders Yonkers. A full list of schools in District 10 can be found here. Approximately 17% of Alternative Certification Candidates hired in the Bronx in the 2019-2020 school year were hired in District 10.
District 11: District 11 begins around Westchester Avenue and heads north to the northernmost part of the Bronx bordering Mount Vernon. A full list of schools in District 11 can be found here.
