Due to the short timeline to complete university enrollment, we ask that you prepare your enrollment documents in advance so that when you receive the date of your university orientation, you will be prepared to enroll in coursework.
You need to have two things to successfully enroll in your university:
- Two sealed copies of your official university transcript: All universities require proof of degree conferral on an official transcript. Please order two copies of all transcripts directly to your home address at your earliest convenience and no later than December. Please do not send your transcripts to the NYCTC office as we are not able to process or pass these along to universities. If you are currently completing a degree, please wait until your degree has been conferred before ordering official transcripts. Please do this as soon as possible, as it can take many weeks to receive. Make sure that the names of all previous coursework as well as grades are reflected. If you need to order transcripts from more than one undergraduate institution to be sure that your academic record is complete, we ask that you do so. *****If you requested a foreign degree evaluation, you MUST request another official transcript, even if it is in a language other than English.
- Immunization records: All university partners require proof of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella immunizations from all students. We advise that you update and obtain these records to have ready for your university enrollment in January. Please note that if you were born prior to December 31, 1956, you will not need to submit proof of immunization. You may consider reaching out to your undergraduate university to see if they still have your immunization records on file and can provide a copy. You can also use the immunization form included on the checklist and bring it to a doctor’s office.
