We are excited to share access to Blackboard. Blackboard is our online platform for key tools, including your enrollment resources and pre-work designed to provide you with the strong foundation you need to hit the ground running this January!
Accessing Blackboard: Log-in using the email address associated with your NYCTC account, and use that email address as your password as well. *NOTE that your username and password are case sensitive.

If your Teacher Track username is teachertobe@gmail.com your Blackboard username and password are as follows:

When you log in, navigate to the "My Courses" section on the right, and you will have several available to you as you can see below, two are the state workshops, two are OPTIONAL courses: the NYCTC Special Education and Enrollment courses, and one is a consolidated test preparation and other resources for your use. **If you deferred from last year, you will see last year's courses AND this year's courses. Please see the directions in red below if you have already completed any of these courses.

New York State Mandated Reporter Workshop & SAVE (School Violence Prevention and Intervention Workshop) are mandatory state workshops. Your successful completion of these two is a requirement to receive your Transitional B Teaching Certificate. These workshops are now available to you on Blackboard, and we ask that you complete them by 11:59 PM on December 30, 2022. Note: course completion will not automatically update on your Teacher Track checklist; our office will pull completion reports from Blackboard. If you'd like this to appear as complete on your checklist, please upload a screenshot of your completion certificate. If you have previously completed these workshops, please upload a screenshot of your TEACH account to your checklist showing that the SAVE and Mandated Reporter workshops are on file. See the bottom of this article for an example.

What if I took these courses last year?
Note: If you already took SAVE and Mandated Reporter last year, please navigate to each course, click on "course completion" and take a screenshot of the below "medallion" and/or course completion certificate. Please upload this screenshot to your checklist. All candidates must upload proof of completion to their checklist regardless of the date they completed this coursework. Failure to do so may result in a delay in generating your official certificate.
What if I have already taken these workshops through another provider?
How long will these workshops take? The SAVE and Mandated Reporter workshops will take approximately 2 hours each.
Is Blackboard the same as Teacher Track?
These are not the same platforms and these platforms are not connected.
